“Runner-friendly” policies
We are runners and strive to offer one of the most “runner-friendly” refund and cancellation policies out there. Our guiding goal is to get as much money back to you as possible. To request a refund or deferral please email us. You should also email us if you simply want to inquire further about these policies, as we’re happy too talk through everyone’s unique situation.
Refunds
It’s simple and we’re proud of it: We’ll issue runners a 100% refund, less UltraSignup’s $1 refund fee, upon request.
Within one month of race day, however, we stop offering refunds. At that point, we’ve already made all race-related expenditures.
Cancellations
While we do just about everything within our power to keep events scheduled “as planned,” we have to realistically acknowledge that, occasionally, things happen beyond our control. Wildfires and pandemics are real.
Therefore, in the event of a race cancellation, we offer the following options to our runners:
Delay to later date (assuming a later date works with our permitting bodies)
Rollover to the same race in the following year
Rollover to a different race in the same year. If there’s a price difference between the races, we’ll perform a true-up
Pro-rata share of all event expenses refundable to Everlong Endurance at the time of cancellation. For example, if we cancel a race of 100 runners in time to cancel the finish line food, which would have cost $500 in total, you will receive a $5 refund
If we are aware of a cancellation threat well in advance, perhaps 30-45 days out, we will likely take a “proactive” cancellation stance to ensure we can incur as few costs as possible. For example, if wildfires are burning on a course 30 days out, we’ll likely cancel the race and target a 100% refund to runners.
Deferrals
In lieu of a refund, you may defer your entry to the following year. Here are a few examples of deferral reasons:
Pregnancy or recent birth
Deployment (military, wildfire, etc.)
Serious injury
If you defer to the next year, you’ll be responsible for covering any price differences.
As with refunds, we stop honoring deferral requests within one month of race day.
Transfers
Registrations are non-transferable. Our volunteers will check photo IDs at bib pick-up.
